True Romance 
Written by Quentin Tarantino but directed by Tony Scott. This is a thrill ride. If for no other reason, you must see this for Gary Oldman’s character portrayal of a white pimp (Drexel) that thinks he’s black. This isn’t your typical romance movie, it’s almost all action. A loner (Christian Slater) meats a prostitute (Patricia Arquette), they fall in love and make a one time drug deal that goes bad. The scene with Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken is a true classic. The cast includes other stars like Brad Pitt, Michael Rapaport, Val Kilmer, Bronson Pinchot, Tom Sizemore, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Penn, and James Gandolfini.
Leon (The Professional) Luc Besson makes this one work. Jean Reno and Natalie Portman team up for a great duo. Gary Oldman gives another great character performance. A hit man befriends a little girl and teaches her to be a cleaner (Hit-man). If you haven’t seen this movie you should order it now!
The Fifth Element – Another great movie from Luc Besson. It’s an action – sci-fi – comedy with Bruce Willis and Chris Tucker. Gary Oldman makes another character his own. Only the Fifth Element can save the world and only Bruce Willis can save the Fifth Element.
They did it, they killed HD-DVD. I didn’t get to open and watch every one of the HDDVD movies I got for Christmas and it’s already obsolete. Toshiba officially announced that they give up. I guess I’ll be getting a Blu-Ray player before the end of the year. It stinks being on the losing team 
The Wedding Singer – A romantic comedy that’s mostly comedy. Plenty of laughs with a pinch of romance. Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler hit it off in this 1980’s themed off the wall hit.
12 Monkeys – One of Brad Pitt’s best performances with Bruce Willis in the lead. What is Twelve Monkeys? It’s a science fiction movie about a convict going back in time to find out what nearly wiped out the human race.
Happy Gilmore – Very funny with good characters. Definitely over the top but who cares? It’s a comedy! Once you see this movie you will spend your cash on more Adam Sandler movies if you haven’t already.
